Plough name plate
There are two sets of name plates which are screwed onto the ploughs. The earlier ones have "GEOBEALBY" on them, the latter ones have "JASBEALBY"
Parts of the plough
The mouldboard, slipes, shares and coulter were the wearing parts which constantly needed replacing. Other parts broke from time to time, especialiy clevises and hales when horses bolted.
Plough Spudder
The spudder, shown in the photo lying across the plough, was used to scrape mud off the breast when required.

The plough has two wheels: one sits in the furrow; the other sits on top of the furrow. the wheels in the photo are fitted on the wrong side!
